Quick note and then back to packing~

So I have a mind that goes in fifty million directions a day. So many things I want to accomplish and not enough time, oh never enough time. That little nasty word CAREER gets in the way, there's no way around it. So I have been thinking lately how to fit in everything I love~ I thought for the past week about just throwing the blogging thing out the window. I have not been putting a lot into it for some time. But just like my mind goes a new idea popped up and it got me to thinking. I love the whole blogging thing and the sweet girls I have met along the way! I have always just stumbled around trying to find the best little area of blogging I fit into. And you know what who cares what group or class I fall into. I am just gonna do what I love and go from there. One of my most favorite people in the world told me "You need to do what you love to be happy in life". So I am getting on that road to do what I love. It is a dream of mine to have weekend sales with a farm/country atmosphere. It may take a year to get there but that's the road I am headed on. So to get there I am going to change the look of the blog and officially close down http://www.honeybendvintage.com/ . So the images up top will be a focal point of the new blog. The one thing that will surely stay the same is that picture of that little farm house and the name Honey Bend. We will tell you the story when the new blog look pops up in a couple months. I think through trial and error Honey Bend Vintage has ended up right where it needs to be~

  3. Sometimes it takes trial and error...or heck, for my own little biz...I just call it "growth" and I say go with where ever that whim takes you...change is not scary, it's good and as they say, its never to late to be what you might have been. I will look forward to seeing all the wonderful new things that you are doing.

  7. Thanks for visiting my blog and introducing me to yours!! I have thought about what you wish to do also with the weekend sales, but my true passion is to be a event/party planner but I am so scared of taking that risk. Plus, if I had the extra funds for it too I think I would feel better and have more confidence about it. It's just tough with the economy the way it is. So, do you have to get some type of business license? And what about insurance? Are you wanting people to rent out booths? I was just curious. Good Luck no matter what you choose!! Daisy~

  8. Blogging is a time sucker, but I really can't imagine doing without it. It's the first thing I think about in the morning. Isn't that weird. And the friends I have made along the way...I need their constant support. So I hope you continue on the blogging path!

Your blog is really cute by the way and we follow a lot of the same people. The truck you posted at the top is on my list. I would love to own one!!

  13. Hi Bristol :)

I think everyone thinks about calling it quits. I know I have. Blogging is fun, but the trap of trying to fit in can be overwhelming and I had to take a step back a few times and remember why I started this. It's a journal about my life, not a contest and it's supposed to be fun :)

I hope you do keep blogging because I love coming over here.

    Have fun on your trip!

  14. I've had many of the same thoughts...I'm not a decorating blog, not a cooking blog, not really even a Mommy blog. I've decided that my blog is just my Life blog. Take it or leave it! You and I, we defy all categorization. :) Can't wait to see what all you have in store. Does this mean you're getting rid of my all-time favorite photo???
