Then we have to decide on the costume. Last year we compromised and had two one for school and one for trick or treating. He got his transformer and we got to come up with a home grown costume. When I was growing up we either used items in the house or my Mom would create one. The little boy is cute as a button in his cowboy creation.
And the most important is the front porch. This picture is from two years ago. I have lots of plans for her this fall. The first thing on my list is the front door. Can I tell you how much I dislike both the storm and front door. I want to remove the storm door and paint my door red
a dark red. and then paint No. 125. So give me advice do you have a better color choice. Right now I have the paint samples taped to the door and they are all red. I am going to remove my wicker chairs and add rocking chairs or a bench. I think I am going to fill that porch with Mums and orange pumpkins.
yes! I love this time of year! Love the black pumpkin with the boo sign! And I always remember putting together make-shift costumes from around the house. I don't know when halloween costumes got so pricey! I think we may try to use what we have around the house this year!
ReplyDeleteHalloween is not like when I was younger. For my best homemade costume I painted a large box to look like a box of cereal made some fake knives to stick out of it and had a sign that said "Cereal Killer". What a dork I was. Unfortunately for my kids I have yet to outgrow it.
ReplyDeleteLove the mantle! When you find a red post what the color is. Looking for a red also. A really dark red that looks almost black til the sun hits it. I would leave the wicker rockers and paint them. I love wicker on a porch. Can't wait to see your finished pics.
What a cute little cowboy! Our favorite costume was a rodeo clown/bullfighter. One son wore it for two years and then the other son wore it.
ReplyDeleteI think your house would look great with a red door. Go for it!
I love the black pumpkin with the Boo sign.. I need to make one of those. I am loving the good ole orange pumpkins too. Too many choices these days, lol.. Thanks for sharing.

Mantles are so hard (to me) to decorate, but this looks really cute! Love just the basic colors of Halloween.
